The Avro Arrow

The Avro Arrow was a interceptor aircraft that got discontinued in 1959 because of the price to build one of these beasts was enormously high. One of the other factors was because the government of Canada wanted to build more missiles. The Avro Arrow was capable of reaching speeds of Mach 2. This model has allot of angle bricks to make it as realistic as possible.

Lego cottage

Lego cottage
This Lego cottage was made to look like a old house that had been renovated. I like the front step because of its cool pattern,  I also like the chimney because it has cool colors and textures.
On of the challenges was the front window because I wanted the window to have some dimensions I put some plants on the on the sill to cover  it up.
On of the other challenges was the dormer window I had to make the seems match to the roof.

Gentoo penguin

The penguins at the Calgary zoo are one of the biggest attractions at the zoo, and just last week a baby chick hatched. Celebration of this event I made a gentoo penguin and a little chick.
The model is of Lachlan and his new chick. why I only made Lachlan and not Giselle, was because I started making Lachlan and then I realised that I would not have more bricks to make Giselle.
Most of this penguin is hollow, so it can easily clasps in on its self which made it hard to build more bricks on top.

Jungle water falls

                                                           Jungle Water Falls

The reason that I made this model was because I wanted to build a model without a picture, So this time I made something that I could create myself.

One of the challenges of building this model was building the rocks by the water fall.
The splashing effect was made by LEGO Chima chi bricks.

ISS

                                                                      Space Station

The reason I made the Space Station  was because of Music Monday.
Music Monday is when choirs all throughout the country sing the same song that changes every year.
My school choir along with three other choirs sang ISS together.
The song for this year is ISS  Is Somebody Singing or International Space Station

Ed Robertson And Chris Hadfield
composed Is Somebody Singing (ISS) because Chris Hadfield is the first Canadian to command the International Space Station.

 Money Safe With Key
I wanted to make a safe to be as strong as it could be.
By adding the key to the safe it made it harder to get into and therefore more secure
The mechanism was easy to make but hard to open without the key

Swiss Chalet

The reason that I made a Swiss Chalet was to make something with lots of angles.
some of the challenges in making the Swiss Chalet was the roof and all the hinges.

Lego elastic shooter

This Lego elastic shooter can can be fired repeatedly without any reloading. I made a strong mechanism that lets the big gear spin one rotation firing one elastic band, every time the trigger is pulled.

The black circle is the firing gear and the red gear is the trigger.

This elastic shooter shoots elastic bands accurately so I made some targets to shoot at.
I made this elastic shooter not strong but to test new mechanisms for more elastic shooters later.

Moai

The reason I made this statue of a Moai because it looked interesting to build.
http://www.interestingengineering.com
A Moai is a statue that is from Easter island Moais were carved by the rapa nui people.

Moai being built

The challenges were that it is hollow and it kept collapsing in on its self.

Titanic

The reason I made the Titanic was because it looked challenging to build.
the Titanic a magnificent British ship that was that was supposedly unsinkable but sadly sank about 100 years ago. After she hit an iceberg and went down to the ocean floor.

The challenges I came across were the front of the ship because it didn't have the right amount of studs it would not stay on.

Another challenge was that the the back had to be the right shape and it was hard

www.enemyforces.net

My Lego Plane from the front
The Osprey V-22 is a military plane that has a 30 barrel machine gun that can shoot 3,000 bullets per minute (50 per second) It can hit a target 1,500 meters away.

My Lego Plane from the side

The body of the V-22 is armoured on the top bottom and sides.
this armoured monster can holed up to 24 troops
The reason I decided to make a V-22 was because I wanted to make a challenging plane. And because it is vary different from other air planes.

This plane uses a lot of hinge bricks for the sides and fount.
